By downloading, installing, or using Chit: Receipt Scanner & OCR ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download or use the Application.
2. License Grant
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Application on compatible mobile devices solely for your personal or internal business purposes, strictly in accordance with these Terms.
3. Offline Utility & Data Responsibility
Chit is an offline utility that stores your receipts and data locally on your device. You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your device and receipt records.
- We do not host or back up your data on remote servers; if you lose or reset your device without exporting your data, your local receipt data cannot be recovered by us.
4. Financial & Tax Disclaimer
The Application is provided as an expense logging and receipt management utility. It does not constitute certified legal, accounting, or tax advice. Optical character recognition (OCR) results should always be verified by the user before submission for tax filings or official bookkeeping.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the developers of Chit be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Application.
