Q: Are my documents, receipts, or contracts ever uploaded to a server?

No. Docket has no server, no cloud sync, and no user accounts. All image processing, perspective transformation, edge detection, and text recognition run strictly within the local hardware of your Android device.

Q: Why does the Google Play listing show the Internet permission?

Docket's own application codebase declares no internet access and opens zero network sockets. However, the app integrates official Google Play Billing and Google ML Kit libraries which contribute the internet permission in the merged manifest for license verification and diagnostics. Docket never transmits your document images or text.

Q: How do I back up my scanned documents if there is no cloud sync?

Docket includes a built-in Encrypted Local Backup tool. You choose the destination (such as an SD card, USB drive, or your own private cloud drive) and enter a passphrase. The backup archive is encrypted on-device.

Q: If I switch to a new phone, do I have to buy Premium again?

No. Because Premium is purchased through Google Play, your lifetime license is permanently attached to your Google account. Simply install Docket on your new phone and tap Restore purchases in Settings.

Q: What languages and scripts are supported?

Docket ships with native localized interfaces for English, Arabic (العربية), Spanish, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Portuguese (Brazil), and Urdu (with full RTL support and cursive font shaping). The OCR engine recognizes Latin-based scripts on the free tier, with additional scripts unlocked in Premium.

Q: Can I sign documents directly within Docket?

Yes. Docket includes a built-in signature canvas. You can draw your signature, save it securely on device, and freely place, resize, and position it on any page of your scanned documents before exporting.

Q: Can I add custom watermarks to my exported scans?

Yes. Premium unlocks custom document watermarks. You can brand or protect your exports with text like CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, or your company name on both PDF exports and shared image files.

Q: What happens if I accidentally delete a document?

Docket includes a Recently Deleted safety net. Deleted documents are safely retained for 30 days before permanent deletion. You can access Recently Deleted from Settings at any time to restore documents with a single tap.
